    Galician Association of shellfish workers (AGAMAR) wishes to express its total rejection of Gabino Silva’s dismissal as Arousa harbour master`s office. A performance that do not share because we understand that serving as strictly political interests, however, which should prevail are the technical criteria of efficiency. It is recalled that the post of harbour master`s office is essential for the proper functioning of an ria in which, as is the case of Arousa, the role of traditional fisheries is essential.

    The Committee on Fisheries (COFI) held its twenty-ninth session in Rome

    In the recent session of COFI, held last January 31 in Rome, attended by over 150 members of the Committee, among them Natalia Laiño who returned from the tripsatisfied, since in most of the participants understood the need for the development of an international instrument that would complement the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries in the field of human rights and gender, an international instrument that is binding and effective.
