    Agamar participates in Rome in the movement parallel to the World Summit on Food Sovereignty

    Agamar involved these days in Rome (13-17 November) in the parallel movementwhich is being held on the occasion of the World Summit on Food Sovereignty.The reason for this Summit, sponsored by the FAO Council, which meets for 1st time in history, the growing number of hungry people already exceed the 1000million. It seeks, therefore, agree that frames the actions needed to address the crisis and end hunger in the world.

    Galician Shellfish workers Association (AGAMAR), along with other social groups worldwide, participates in these days in Rome in a social movementparallel to the FAO to demand food sovereignty, defense of family farming andeco-small scale fisheries, the cessation of industrial bio-fuels and climate change solutions. AGAMAR involved in this movement as a member of the World Forum of Fishermen (WFFP) of its Secretary General, Natalia Laiño is treasurer from thelast December.
