    If we were to indicate some of the key players in the history of Galicia in the last 85 years, no doubt, could indicate how one of them Mar. Galicia and the Galicianmaritime basically we are a people that has always been developed looking at its coast, in a symbiosis of which have come many of our main features andcharacteristics. As a result of this profound and direct the employees of the marine environment are endowed with insight, settled for several generations, hardly found in other parts of the world. Our estuaries serve as the foundation of social and economic relations not only influence the seafaring towns and villages, creating anenvironmental and human ecosystem unique. A space that is the scene of many economic activities centered on trade, tourism, shipbuilding, in addition to fishing and shellfishing. Sectors around which develops and multiply efforts to provide jobsand create wealth at a very high percentage of our population.     The High Court of Justice of Galicia has dismissed an appeal by the Regional Government the decision of the Court of Administrative # 3 of Pontevedra, in May 2011 annulled the elections in 2009, confirming the irregularities in the electoral process. The incident was reported by the larger pattern of Bueu, Jose Manuel Rosas, who was facing at that call for José Antonio Gómez Castro was fraudulently winner.

    In the last months the shellfish workers of the Ria de Arousa have had several performances of bullying and intimidation in order to scare them while doing their tasks of extraction and monitoring in the sand. Facing these facts, the Galician Association Shellfish workers wishes to express in public its firm condemnation and conviction as well as strong support for men and women who are victims of these acts of harassment.

    In the past month of March was held in Copenhagen a European conference on small-scale fisheries in Europe in which participated the president of AGAMAR, Natalia Laiño, representing the executive WFFP (World Forum of Fisher Peoples). For four days they discussed the introduction of the Voluntary Guidelines (VG) of FAO representatives from various organizations and institutions from several countries like the United States, Mauritania, Uganda, Philippines, South Africa, France, Iceland, Norway , Indonesia, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Belgium, and Denmark.

    Galician Association of Shellfish Workers demanded, as a prelude to future judicial and administrative actions, the Departament of Rural Environment and Sea make a final decision on the facts alleged in court AGAMAR in October last year against the Galician Federation of Fraternities and its president Benito Gonzalez Sineiro. In the complaint inadmissible, it is revealed the misappropriation of public funds and monetary rewards unevenly, but until now there is evidence of a full refund and without any action or any pronouncement of the Regional Minister Rosa Quintana.

    In recent years the Galician administration is working like one of the most destructive against Sea sector when, paradoxically, should be one of the main driving forces of this economic activity. The Regional Minister Quintana is showing a shocking carelessness in front of all the problems that today we face all workers in our sea. Even sometimes we talk about real administrative drowning attempts, finding a time when the administration seems to be working for Galician consumed as soon as possible, the disappearance of the sector.
